Kymra McCarthy was born in Boston in the 70's, although she spent most of her youth in the small town of Meredith, NH. She was an aspiring actress from the ripe age of 5. She was singing, dancing and acting all the way through High School and College, and was theatrically and vocally trained in Elementary and High School. Kymra had ensemble roles in many musicals including Guys and Dolls, The Mikado, South Pacific and others; and leading roles in Anything Goes, Babes in Toyland, and played Maria in The Sound of Music during her senior year of college. She won local state theater awards, and was nominated by her high school for the yearly freshman University of New Hampshire theater scholarship. Kymra studied various aspects of film and theater, but ultimately ended up in the corporate sector.

This was the first theatrical project for her in about 10 years. She was drawn to the screenplay and the subject matter, being an avid Joss Whedon fan.

Kymra lives with her husband, whom she loves, and her 2 dogs in NH, and loves music, mostly Live and Widespread Panic!
